Rules

These are the rules which apply to jvnkosu!'s Online services at osu.jvnko.boats.

We strive to make our community fun and fair for everyone - from regular players to tinkerers.
As our game is more focused on community rather than competition, the rules are a bit more relaxed than something like osu!.
But even with that, there are rules and they must be followed.

Community

  1. You may only have one playable account at a time.
    • Multi-accounting is mostly disallowed because of stuff like leaderboards.
    • But, if needed, you may use alternative accounts if needed for some very specific purposes. Score submission will not be available from these accounts, though.
    • Give us a yell if you need that.
  2. Play fair. See § Fair Play for more info. Basically, don't cheat or you get banned.
  3. Don't be a nuisance to others.
    • Please use common sense and treat other players the same way you want to be treated (for the most part).
    • In other words, don't go around verbally abusing others.
Please, just respect others. It's not that hard to do.
  4. No spam or advertisements. It goes without saying that this is not a place for ads. If you need ads, you should probably see other options.
  5. This list is not exhausting (not at all), but in other places common sense applies.

Fair Play

You are allowed to use any osu!(lazer), jvnkosu!, or compatible clients, official or custom, modified or unmodified, with the Online services, as long as you follow these rules:

  1. No client modifications that give player an inherent advantage.
    Including, but not limited to:
    • Modifications that enable Relax, Autopilot, or similar, without actually enabling these mods.
    • Modifications that remove the Flashlight overlay or unhide approach circles on Hidden.
    • Modifications that allow to submit Autoplay scores or edited replays as their own.
    • Modifications that allow for speedhacks to operate.
    • You get the point.
Other client modifications that change gameplay are allowed (and encouraged!), as long as they require usage of a mod or use a different ruleset.
  2. No usage of external software that gives player an inherent advantage.
Basically, cheating is cheating, even if you don't modify the source code.

More rules are to follow, but we encourage "chaotic competition" by allowing scores with almost all official mods to be ranked.

Breaking the rules

If you break the rules, depending on the offence you commit, bad things will happen to you.
Your account may...

  • Get silenced (you won't be able to talk in public chats)
  • Get restricted (you won't be able to play online and submit scores)
  • Get banned from participating in tournaments
  • Get immediately deleted in case you've done something really awful.

In case a user is found committing offences that are considered illegal by international law, like posting CSAM or other abuse materials, they WILL BE REPORTED TO RELEVANT AUTHORITIES and their account will be terminated IMMEDIATELY.

You may not create a new account to circumvent any measures we might've taken against you, as that will be considered an aggravating factor and result in more serious measures.

In case of doubt, don't break the rules, please.
